What We Do

WING-men work with Shawn, our Program Director, off-site five days a week. This allows the program to generate almost half of the money it needs to keep operating. The work is varied and almost all outdoors. We think it is vital to our WING-men's success that they learn to get up every morning, pack a lunch, work hard every day and do it all again the next day.

We have done all types of landscape and yard clean up, shoreline reconstruction, habitat restoration, trail maintenance, deconstruction projects, LEED recycling, painting - you name it, we have done it this year.  We are very grateful for the support from a number of companies who have hired WINGS through long term contracts. Those companies include: Port of Hood River, Lone Pine Village, Hood River County Forestry Department and Cascade Commons Shopping Center.

The WINGS-Crew is also available for hire for half and full days for any type of project. We have torn out cement patios, laid tile, cleaned gutters, raked yards, and blown and shoveled show - yes, we have our own new snowblower!
